Tea produced at Belseri is malty, with a fuller character and is 100% organic.
Enjoying a tea with a splash of milk is never wrong. But some teas are better suited and adapted than others. The production technique "Crush, tear, curl - (CTC)", originally from Kenya, spread throughout South Asia during colonialism. CTC is a method for most black teas where the leaves pass through a series of cylindrical rollers with serrated blades that crush, tear and roll the tea into small hard granules. The technique exposes more cells in the leaf and thus increases the oxidation of the tea, resulting in a stronger and fuller cup.
This unique CTC Belseri is 100% organic and is picked from the 1000 hectares of plantations located in the lush northern banks of the Brahmaputra. The teas produced at Belseri are malty, with a fuller character. Belseri Tea Estate is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River and is the largest organic tea plantation in Assam. The farm produces about 5,00,000 kg of CTC and orthodox teas. It has characteristics that are different from other Tea plantations.
The farm is provided with organic means to make it easier to produce stronger teas that are also clean and healthy. The tea bush produces its own compost and renews the soil naturally. Predators such as birds and spiders fight the natural pests, in an environment that is close to nature and is not influenced by artificial fertilizers.
