Lapsang tea was created by chance in the village of Xincun during the Qing Dynasty in 221 BC. Fresh tea leaves were dried over fires fired with pine or cypress wood to create this iconic unmistakable flavor and character of smokiness. The robust smoky flavor makes the tea a perfect match for spicy food and whiskey. Also good as an extra flavoring in food and cocktails.

This Lapsang Souchong is organic and comes from controlled organic farming, and the seasoning is fully certified organic
