Jasmine Monkey King is a powerful, organic green tea from the Fujian province of China, prized for its unique, robust flavor. This organic tea is made through a meticulous process where fresh jasmine flowers are layered like a blanket on top of thinly twisted green tea leaves to draw in flavor and aroma. The dark green leaves are lightly roasted, and their deep color means they are almost mistaken for black tea at first glance.

When brewed, the round and floral notes quickly develop, with the natural taste of jasmine emerging in a rich and elegant way. Jasmine Monkey King offers an intense taste experience that is both refreshing and satisfying, and is particularly loved by jasmine tea enthusiasts. With its rich character, this tea is excellent to drink both on its own and with heartier meals or desserts. A luxurious and well-balanced tea experience from the Fujian province.

When purchasing this tea, a bamboo sieve included in the purchase, value 29kr – directly included in your order.

For this tea, we suggest that you try the Western brewing style. The idea behind this technique is to use fewer leaves and much more water, while brewing time becomes longer to extract as much of the taste as possible at one and the same time.

Both the taste and smell of jasmine were almost non-existent and the tea taste in general was poor with an almost watery character. I have given two stars but it should be between one and two. This is not a tea I can recommend.

Hi Anders,

Thank you for sharing your experience. We really appreciate your honesty even when it is not positive. The taste and aroma can be greatly affected by how the tea is brewed and the quality of the water, especially if you have hard water. May I ask how you usually brew your tea and what water you use?

In general, organic jasmine teas can sometimes be perceived as milder than conventional ones, as the plants need more time to adapt to the growing conditions. If you want a stronger jasmine character, we would like to recommend our non-organic jasmine teas, which many of our customers appreciate for their clearer taste and aroma. Feel free to try our Jasmine Dragon Pearls or our Vietnamese Jasmine FOP. This is stronger than the organic one you have tasted. However, these may also be perceived as weaker or less floral depending on the pH value of your water.

Excellent summer tea, both hot and refreshingly cold.
Useful for most dishes and desserts and as a cold refreshing drink.
