Tea plantations in fields high in the mountains provide the very best conditions for the production of the best teas. As a result, the hilly region of Shizuoka is an exceptionally good area to grow quality teas. This sencha has eye-catching emerald green, shiny leaves. It is hand-picked from the high-quality Saemedori variety, a variety that has become very popular in recent years, and which is a cross between the famous Yabukita and Asatsuyu varieties. It has inherited its sweetness and color from the latter, and its balance and freshness from the former.

This exceptional sencha stimulates the senses with its mild aroma from the leaves. Its brew is impeccably green and the taste is deep and subtle. Full of sweetness, the drink has a long and complex aftertaste, and the sweet notes gradually give way to savory notes of sugar snap peas.

For this tea, we suggest that you try the traditional Chinese Gong FU style to brew your tea. The idea behind this technology is to use greater proportions of tea leaves for water and very short break times. By using more tea leaves and having very short brewing, you only manage to extract parts of the entire taste spectrum. The tea can then be enjoyed in so -called "sections", which gives a much more nuanced experience.
